Blogging From Your Phone

If you are an avid blogger, smartphones and apps have made it easy and accessible to keep you in the mix. Blogging has only grown in popularity since the dawn of the internet. Whether you blog as a job or for fun, a specialized topic or just to keep family and friends in the loop, apps have made it easy to blog on the go. There are many apps available to help you keep your blog updated at the speed of life. First things first, you’ll need to choose your platform. I listed two that I like below.

WordPress

The WordPress app allows you to fully contribute to your blog while on the go. It is easy to use and is fully integrated with your site to allow for easy updating. Using the app is similar to accessing your site from a computer so there’s little adaption time required. WordPress is a great platform, whether you are just starting out, or are an experienced blogger. They have an easy-to-setup and easy-to-use the platform. The app makes it simple to contribute to your blog no matter where you are.

Blogger

Blogger is another great platform. Though it is free to host your blog with Blogger you may opt to purchase your domain to give your site a more professional look. Blogger is user-friendly and the app allows you to update your blog on the go.  It’s easy to post, add photos, view published posts, and switch between multiple accounts. You’ll never miss the opportunity to share.

Google Docs

If you are using a different platform that hasn’t yet moved into the app world, Google docs allow you to write and save your blogs while living life so that you can updates when able. Google docs is always a great idea and a good substitute even if you have a platform app as it is a way to back up any of the work you do. It provides a little extra insurance – there is nothing worse than losing all your work before it’s saved.

Buffer

As a blogger, it is crucial to connect with your followers through social media. Buffer is a great way to do that. There are so many social media sites and sadly not enough hours in a day. Buffer allows you to automate social network posts for various sites and posts them at specific intervals throughout the day! If blogging is a way of business for you and you have a large following, then Buffer is a great way to keep your media image strong.

Pocket

If finding ideas for content is one of the hardest struggles you face with blogging then you’ll like Pocket. It allows you to save notes or articles, even pictures. If you come across something in your day that you love to explore as a blog topic, document it to pocket to help get the creative ideas flowing later. This is one app I’ve used a lot, and whenever I find writer’s block creeping up, it’s a good way to brainstorm new ideas from information I already have on hand.

There are so many other helpful apps on the market to help make your blogging successful – these are just a few of the apps I’ve used and like. Blogging is a great hobby or even a great way to make some extra cash if you utilize it on a larger scale. It helps you keep a bridge of connection open with friends and family or a great way to share your experiences with others. Smartphone apps have made it easier to become a successful blogger.
